It advised Salad Signature, a leading food producer in Belgium and the Netherlands, on the acquisition of Salsa Food Group and its subsidiaries from GIMV. \u2018Knowledgeable\u2019, \u2018customer-oriented\u2019 practice head Dirk Wellens is recommended along with the \u2018smart\u2019, \u2018pragmatic\u2019 Stefaan Wauman.<\/p>\n

Litigation<\/strong>
\nLaurius advocaten is currently representing a manufacturer against its former Russian distributor in a \u20ac2m dispute over a contract termination. It also has an active financial disputes practice, where it is representing ING Bank in a credit dispute. Bert Luyten is heading up the team and is a member of CEPANI.<\/p>\n

Tax<\/strong>
\nLaurius advocaten\u2019s tax practice was created when Philippe Hinnekens, formerly head of tax at Eubelius, joined the firm in January 2013 along with two senior associates: Korneel Decroix and Sofie Van Waeyenberghe. The team is representing a large building contractor in litigation pertaining to local taxes on the use of heavy machinery.<\/p>\n
